Job Summary

Reporting to the Mine Superintendent, the Mining Construction Supervisor provides intense, direct oversight to specialized mining construction crews executing highly specific and dangerous underground tasks, such as mass excavation support and secondary support.

Key Responsibilities

The supervisor is constantly present at the working face, conducting rigorous, continuous workplace inspections and executing dynamic risk management protocols to protect the workforce from ground failures. The incumbent ensures that all tasks are completed exactly to the Mine Superintendent's specifications and within the allotted shift time.

Qualifications & Experience

The applicant must possess a Valid Blasting License, and demonstrate a minimum of 8+ years of hands-on experience in underground high-speed development mining and 3+ years experience as a shiftboss. The role requires an authoritative presence, an uncompromising attitude towards safety, and deep practical knowledge of underground mining construction methods. Experience with long-anchor installation, wetcrete application and concrete work is required.
