Job Summary

Reporting to the Mine Manager, the Production Manager is tasked with the comprehensive oversight of daily production metrics and high-speed development outputs across the entire underground operation. This role requires continuous, close coordination with the Technical Services and Engineering departments to guarantee adherence to the strategic Life of Mine plan.

Key Responsibilities

The incumbent will aggressively optimize development activities, actively monitor financial performance and unit costs against established departmental budgets, and drive initiatives for productivity improvement. Furthermore, the Production Manager acts as a key operational leader, responsible for mentoring, guiding, and assessing the performance of operational Mine Superintendents, Shiftbosses, and frontline crews.

Qualifications & Experience

Prospective candidates must possess a Degree or Diploma in Mining Engineering from a recognized institution, a Mine Manager's Certificate of Competency and demonstrate a minimum of 12 years of hands-on experience in underground hard-rock environments, specifically focusing on high-speed mechanized development and stoping techniques. 3 years of which must have been at Production Manager Level. The ideal candidate must exhibit strong financial modeling capabilities, an advanced understanding of life-of-mine planning, and a proven track record of leadership in demanding, high-volume extraction scenarios.
