Job Summary

Reporting to the HR Manager, the HR Officer provides operational support across recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and training coordination. The role ensures smooth execution of HR processes in a demanding underground project environment, where accuracy, confidentiality, and proactive communication are essential. The officer plays a key role in maintaining employee records, supporting statutory compliance, and ensuring that HR services are delivered efficiently to all departments.

Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities include managing candidate screening, scheduling interviews, facilitating onboarding, and maintaining updated personnel files. The officer also manages HR databases, assists with grievance resolution, coordinates training in line with BQA standards, and processes work and residence permit applications. Additional duties include assisting with performance documentation, coordinating housing allocations, and generating HR reports for management.

Qualifications & Experience

A Degree or Diploma in Human Resources or related discipline is required, along with at least five years of HR generalist experience. Experience in mining or large‑scale project environments is advantageous. Strong organisational ability, confidentiality, and excellent communication skills are essential.
