Job Summary

Reporting to the Senior Control Room Operator, the Control Room Operator plays a central role in coordinating and monitoring underground operations through advanced communication and tracking systems. This position ensures real‑time oversight of personnel, mobile equipment, and critical mining infrastructure to maintain safe, efficient production cycles. The role demands a highly alert individual capable of processing large volumes of data while communicating clearly with multiple teams working in dynamic underground environments.

Key Responsibilities

The operator continuously monitors radio communications, mine-wide tracking systems, ventilation and environmental sensors, equipment status indicators, and shift progress reports. Duties include updating digital logs, escalating alarm conditions, dispatching instructions, issuing warnings during unsafe conditions, supporting emergency response protocols, and providing coordination between surface and underground teams. The operator must maintain accurate shift records and ensure that operational information reaches the correct supervisors without delay.

Qualifications & Experience

Strong computer literacy and communication skills. A minimum of one to two years of experience in mining, industrial dispatch, or control room operations is required. Familiarity with underground working environments, safety regulations, and two‑way radio procedures is essential, along with the ability to stay calm and decisive during high‑pressure situations.
