Job Summary

Reporting to the Training Manager, the Training Officer provides vital administrative, technical, and coordination support to ensure that all site training and competency programs run efficiently and remain fully compliant with statutory and organizational standards. Working in a fast‑paced underground mining environment, the officer supports both theoretical and practical training activities, ensuring that employees receive accurate, up‑to‑date instruction aligned with operational needs.

Key Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include updating and maintaining training matrices, scheduling training sessions, tracking compliance against statutory requirements, and coordinating logistics for internal and external training providers. The officer compiles detailed training reports, organizes assessments, assists instructors during practical evaluations, and ensures training records meet audit and MQWM requirements. Additional duties include monitoring expired or soon‑to‑expire competencies, communicating training gaps to supervisors, preparing learning materials, supporting onboarding programs, and ensuring continuous improvement of training documentation systems.

Qualifications & Experience

A Diploma or Degree in Human Resources, Training, Education, or a related discipline is preferred, along with three to five years of experience supporting training programs in mining or heavy industrial environments. Strong administrative capability, excellent organizational skills, high attention to detail, and advanced computer literacy are essential.
