Job Summary

Serving as a critical pillar within the mine's leadership structure and reporting to the Mine Manager, the Technical Services Superintendent leads highly specialized, multidisciplinary teams encompassing Mine Planning, Surveying, Planning and Geotechnical/Rock Engineering.

Key Responsibilities

The primary mandate is to develop highly accurate rolling operational schedules and strategic Life of Mine (LOM) plans that guarantee sustainable, profitable extraction. The Superintendent is responsible for overseeing the design and continuous optimization of complex drill and blast functions, ensuring maximum rock fragmentation while controlling costs. Additionally, this role guarantees that all mine designs, ventilation layouts, and infrastructure support systems comply strictly with statutory regulations and internal safety standards.

Qualifications & Experience

This senior role requires a Bachelor's Degree in Mining Engineering or Geology or MRM Qualification, coupled with professional registration with the Engineers Registration Board (ERB). The successful candidate will bring over 12 years of dedicated technical services experience within mechanized underground mining, including master-level expertise in advanced 3D mine planning and scheduling software, specifically Deswik.
