Job Summary

Reporting to the PIC, the Robotic Operator executes a highly specialized geotechnical function by operating advanced robotic shotcrete spraying equipment.

Key Responsibilities

The core responsibility is to apply wet-mix shotcrete or fibrecrete to the hanging wall and sidewalls of underground excavations, providing critical, immediate ground support to prevent rock unraveling. The operator must meticulously monitor concrete slump, accelerator dosage, and spray thickness to ensure total compliance with engineered ground support standards. Additional duties include preparing the work area through rigorous hydroscaling to remove loose material and performing routine daily maintenance on the complex spraying apparatus.

Qualifications & Experience

The candidate must possess a formally recognized Shotcrete Operator Certification. A minimum of three years of hands-on experience operating automated or robotic concrete sprayers in a challenging underground hard-rock environment is required, demanding excellent hand-eye coordination for remote boom operation.
