Job Summary

Reporting to the Technical Services Superintendent, the Senior Surveyor acts as the ultimate authority for all spatial data, volumetric measurement, and underground survey services.

Key Responsibilities

The core responsibility is ensuring the absolute statutory compliance of all legal mine plans as rigidly mandated by the MQWM Act. The incumbent will coordinate complex underground survey networks, reconcile actual mining voids and advances against engineered designs, and validate the spatial accuracy of all operational data.

Qualifications & Experience

The ideal candidate must hold a Degree in Geomatics, Topography, or Mine Surveying, and possess formal registration with IMSSA, or an equivalent recognized professional surveying body. A minimum of seven years of specialized experience in an underground environment is required, along with advanced proficiency in Deswik or Datamine, AutoCad or Microstation. Profiency and experience using 3D Scanners for undeground excavations is required.
