Job Summary

Reporting to the Mechanical Foreman, the Rigger executes the highly technical and critically dangerous safe lifting and maneuvering of massive, heavy loads and plant machinery within the confined underground space. The rigger will expertly utilize, inspect, and maintain a vast array of lifting appliances, including heavy-duty cranes, chain blocks, hoists.

Key Responsibilities

A major responsibility involves calculating load centers and developing complex, multi-point lift plans to move stripped TMM parts and sling them underground without causing structural damage to the shaft or equipment and avoid injuries to personnel.

Qualifications & Experience

The candidate must possess a Trade Certificate in Rigging. A minimum of 8 years of highly specialized experience in underground heavy lifting, shaft maintenance, and structural steel erection is strictly required, demanding exceptional spatial awareness and an uncompromising attitude toward lifting safety regulations.
