Job Summary

Reporting to the PIC, the Transmixer Operator is responsible for the crucial logistical task of delivering specialized wet-mix concrete from the surface batch plant deep into the underground workings. The operator will safely maneuver mobile concrete transmixers through heavy underground traffic to reach the active headings without allowing the concrete to spoil.

Key Responsibilities

The incumbent must actively monitor the drum rotation and mix consistency, ensuring a seamless handover of the material to the Robotic Operator. Post-shift, the operator is strictly responsible for ensuring the drum, chutes, and pumping mechanisms are thoroughly washed and chipped clean to prevent concrete buildup.

Qualifications & Experience

The candidate must possess a valid Heavy Vehicle (Class C/EC) Driver's license and demonstrate a minimum of two to three years of specialized underground driving experience. A strong mechanical aptitude and a deep respect for heavy vehicle dynamics on steep gradients are mandatory.
