Job Summary

Reporting to the Stores Supervisor, the Forklift Driver executes a critical material handling function, safely operating heavy-duty forklifts to load, unload, and precisely stack palletized goods. The driver will maneuver through the busy storage aisles and expansive, often uneven surface laydown areas, requiring extreme caution to avoid pedestrians and structural damage.

Key Responsibilities

The incumbent is legally required to conduct rigorous daily pre-start machine inspections, monitor hydraulic fluid levels, and report any mechanical defects immediately.

Qualifications & Experience

The candidate must possess a valid, legally recognized Forklift Operator License. A minimum of two years of continuous warehousing and heavy material handling experience is required, demanding high attention to detail, excellent spatial awareness, and a strong commitment to mobile equipment safety protocols.

This role operates within a large-scale underground development project in Botswana, where our contracting teams manage high-speed drilling, blasting, and continuous mechanized advance. The position forms part of a multidiscipline workforce responsible for maintaining safe, legally compliant production cycles while coordinating equipment, personnel, and logistical resources across an extensive underground layout. As the site grows, the role will increasingly support planning accuracy, operational readiness, and efficient communication between engineering, technical services, and production crews to ensure uninterrupted project delivery.
