Job Summary

Reporting to the PIC / Miner, the PIC Assistant provides the intense manual labor and operational support required to prepare the active mining face. The assistant will directly aid the Miner by performing rigorous face preparation tasks, including washing down the rock face to identify misfires, conducting manual scaling to remove hazardous loose rock, and ensuring the area is free of debris.

Key Responsibilities

The role involves the heavy manual transport of critical materials, ventilation tubing, and ground support equipment through confined underground spaces. The assistant is vital to maintaining a safe, organized, and highly efficient working environment that allows the mechanized equipment to operate without delay.

Qualifications & Experience

The applicant must possess a BGCSE or an equivalent educational background, combined with a supreme level of physical fitness necessary to endure the demanding underground conditions. Previous exposure to heavy industrial or mining environments is strongly preferred, along with a demonstrated commitment to following strict safety directives.
